I did not mean all Japanese eat vegitabe first. However, I think it is getting increasing for Japanese to try this way. Strictly speaking, eat vegitable first, eat protein such as fish and meat,and eat carbohydrate in the end. This purpose is to raise blood-sugar level slowly. If you can raise blood sugar level slowly, you can prevent obesity and diabetes. Asian people tend to get diabetes easily. 20000000 Japanese people become diabetic,including people who are likely to get diabetic.
Preventing Metabolic Syndrome
In Japan there is specific health guidance for Metabolic Syndrom(Visceral fat ovesity).Your waist is more than 85cm for men, 90cm for woman, and you are applied to 2 of 3(Abnormal level of blood pressure, fats, and blood-sugar lever). Therefore, many Japanese who do not look that fat are regarded as obesity. Many people get health instruction by public health nurse like me.
This diet to lose weight is not just the order of eating food. You have to eat slowly. If possible, it is better to take 10or 15 minutes to eat vegitable and protain, first. Many people have habit to eat fast. This might be difficult if you make effort.
