Depopulation is serious
In Japan depopulation is srrious problem. The shape of population graph is beyong bell-type in Japan. Now is it getting pot tyle now. That means the number of elderly is getting increasing, while the number of children getting decrease. As the population is small, the descendant cannot take over old houses. That is why the number of abondoned building like the photo is increasing.
Lack of care worksers
Care workers are working for low wage in Japan. So, care field is not attraactive job for Japanese people. Lack of careworkers is serious, and some nursing home are close because of the lack of careworkers. Japan started accepting Asian nurses and care workers in 2008. The problem is that Japanese language is too difficult to master. So, few people pass the exam of the license. Even if they pass the exam, they go to their country to use what they learned. I think Japan cannot manage elderlys without foreigners. The peak of aging would be 2025. Japanese goverment try to prepare for the peak and try to accept more foreigner, but they cannot catch up with it. I believe many foreigner would help the serious situation. I feel all foreigners are welcome to help care field in Japan.
